Overwhelmed by the 2014 CFPB changes and subsequent TRID requirements, many lenders grew to dread consumer real-estate loans. Those changes occurred years ago, of course, but many still experience a certain amount of apprehension in connection with these loans.

In this webinar, Anne will guide you through a simple real estate loan and explain, step by step, the current compliance rules. Importantly, each registrant will receive a handbook that reiterates the webinar information in a clear and easy-to-read format.

Consider this webinar a companion to the popular “Best-Ever Consumer Checklists” webinar. With Anne's easy-to-follow explanations and real-life examples, you'll be armed with the tools you need to navigate even the most complex loan scenarios with ease.

What You'll Learn

  • The ability-to-repay rules, and how “qualified mortgages” fit into those rules.
  • The requirements of high-cost mortgages and HPMLs… and how these loans differ.
  • The existing flood insurance and appraisal rules.
  • The troublesome Reg B requirements (intent-to-apply-for-joint-credit and copy-of-appraisal rules).
  • Credit score and credit insurance disclosures.
  • The possibility of Military Lending Act disclosures.

Who Should Attend

This session is ideal for newer lenders and loan processors. On the other hand, if an institution finds that it is somewhat apprehensive when processing consumer real estate loans, even seasoned bankers and compliance officers will find this webinar clarifying and helpful.
